That would just make Duluth uninhabitable. Duluth isn't big enough or productive enough to support all 330 million Americans.

There's nowhere to go. It's either adapt to the conditions around you or be culled in the bottleneck. Get away from expecting ease and convenience. Embrace minimalism. Get radical about this shit. Do it now before it's too late.
I agree with you about work though. One should take as many guilt free days off as one can. Every year. One should take as many mini retirements as one can afford throughout one's life. Work isn't going anywhere. And if one just really must work, one should advantage all that time anyways to work for oneself once in a while I stead of someone else. One would be flabbergasted at the difference it makes in one's overall well being.
