It also throws into stark relief, for anyone who's missed it this far (it's not like there's been a lack of opportunites, after all) just how out of touch with thr average American these folks are.

Even the radical left, a k.a. Hollywood, knows you best make sure the dog stays alive. You can have a natural disaster, alien invasion, mythical creature infestation, war movie, gang war, drug running mayhem, hitman sharpshooting lalapalooza where people are being literally ripped apart left, right, and sideways and you're good. It will not be perceived as too much....so long as the dog makes it through unscathed.

We are not completely heartless and violent. We have standards. Especially when it comes to cute little, floppy eared hunting dogs.
