That part’s not likely to happen. It’s more likely that she will be pressured into accepting that child into her heart and forgiving your selfish ass to maintain the integrity of the family for the benefit of the church. She’ll either capitulate or be scorned by the church. If she capitulates you’ll then pressure that young girl you had an affair with into adopting out her baby to your family. She’ll either run for both their lives, sneak off and abort out of country if she can, do a self abortion and try not to die, or commit suicide OR she’ll capitulate too. If she capitulates, maybe based on the theory of open adoption then you and your now aggrieved wife have basically stolen a child from its mother. You wife hates that child and hates it’s mother so she she treats them both miserably and miserly. That child is a constant reminder to your wife’s well deserved bitterness, so you avoid any show of affection or “favoritism", making you no picnic either. All your other children follow suit.

Now this child has been ripped from it’s mother and places into a negligent and abusive household. What could possibly go wrong?
