That may be true too. It’s hard to say. Liberals are nonviolent by nature, but that doesn’t mean survival instincts aren’t there.

I think it will come down to money. In the end, doesn’t everything? Whether they want to act or not, they may have no choice if Trump and his administration (upon reelection) continue to “punish” Democrats for whatever deranged idea pops into his head that day and how quickly climate crises continue to unfold.

The only other option is to get out, but not many people have that option financially and it’s not like most of us are welcome anywhere anymore either.

There is another option, actually. However, it’s not one many people are able to do long term either and it doesn’t end well all the time.
