That is the goal. There's this idea of going back to when men were men and women were women. But, we've forgotten a lot of how things really were.

A lot of women did work outside the home. Any opportunity to bring in money was taken regardless of who earned it.

There are stories of women who tied their toddlers to bedposts and gave them bottles of liquor or rags soaked in liquor to keep them quiet so the neighbors wouldn't complain so they could go to work and put food on the table.

And let's not forget all the death too. Women died trying to abort babies they couldn't care for. Fathers took to drink on the regular from the weight of supporting too many children. A lot of them either abandoned their family or killed their wives for getting pregnant.

How many kids were pressed into service just to have one less mouth to feed?

Yeah. The good ole days weren't that great unless you were a wealthy male. Particularly, a wealthy white male.
