That commenter is somewhat incorrect, imo.
It gets down to what we mean exactly when we use certain words, and their context.
You used the word primary, meaning it comes first. I would say systemic because it's baked in as a defining part of manhood. It's cultural (talking about western culture, particularly American). It's interesting in that once you get outside America you start to see more wholesome and sane versuons of masculinity where manhood is defined and understood as the opposite of boyhood, not womanhood. But here in America, just about everythint avout manhoid is defined and ynderstoid to be the antithesis of womanhood and femininity.
It creates this low key antagonistic feeling men have toward women, of misogyny.
It's always there.
And everyone in a female body both feels this antagonism as being "othered" and must navigate the world through it.
