None of us can change men or change society. All we can control is ourselves. So make sure your choices benefit you and reject narratives that encourage endless sacrifice on your part without any reciprocity ever as the path to happiness and well being. It's not. It's the path to depletion and depression and emiserstion.

You're not selfish for looking out for yourself. But you are foolish if you think that men or society will look out for you or ever put you and your needs first.
