Thank you for this. You're the first man Commenting on man vs bear alone in the woods that actually has the correct experience to assess the question.

A random man outside a predictable environment where he's outside the norm and it's a coin toss if he's out there up to something or not AND zero consequences.

Lots of people live rurally, out in the woods. If you encounter a random man in the woods, it's on your property and if he's random, he wasn't invited.

Woods can just as easily mean deep woods, not a public park or hiking trail, which is pretty much sort of touristy. Deep woods is where all the stuff you mentioned tends to go down. Drug runners and poachers are a real and valid concern. You CANNOT consider a random man encountered in the woods the dame as a random.man in the street, who is in a public space, presumably bound by law, in a situation where he will be seen and potentially face consequences, just going about his day, doing his daily usual.

Bear.

Every damn time.

And it shows how testerical and uninformed men are that they cannot apply basic reasoning to the question.
