Though back then I was also true that young women would try to get pregnant by another to avoid a marriage their father was trying to arrange. It was believed that a woman was incapable of lying upon the birth bed because of the pain, so an unwed mother would be harassed dueing labor to name the father and marriage would follow.

Coincidentally, there's a couple of Reddit threads that have sprung up since the leak thinking along these lines.

One is a MRA kind of group talking about going out and mass raping lesbians as soon as the decision comes down. Pointers and planning and invitations to meet up and all of that.

Another is an Incel group who think this is a swell way to get sex permanently. No more rejection risk if she has to marry you because you knocked her up. So more rape, drugging and then rape, and stealthing a working girl (?) which is also rape. That one was a little unclear and I had told to me by another researcher, so unconfirmed. I'm not surprised though. Sounds exactly like an Incel.
