Sure, but you still have to limit the means as a first step, whatever those are. That's why so many bridges are blocked off, women used to jump. Hell, you'd be surprised how many ghost stories (hauntings) in the US, center around a woman who either jumped or drowned herself. It was common, until means we're limited. Now it's pills and razors.
This narrative that men are being victim shamed and women don't care is absolutely enraging. It's like these same guys want women to snap their fingers and magically make their lives better for them after time and time again categorically refusing to lift a finger to improve the lives of anyone else. Not even their own children's.
Men are not being victim shamed. This same bunch of men has made it impossible to help them by their vote, by their neglect of their families and support systems, by the constant refusal to value what they need to not be depressed and suicidal in the first place, by their regimented adherence to gun culture and belligerent interpretstion of the 2nd amendment.
