Sounds like the "complaints" she heard were more about men not being centered in every damn thing any more. But whatever.

You made some decent points that have been diacussed ad nauseam infinitum. But here we go again.

Feminism does believe in equality between the sexes. Radical feminism isn't about hating men, it's about rejecting gender essentialism, an argument the OP both gave air too and misdefined which means she herself is not a well versed feminist. That itself isn't a horrible thinfz we all start at the beginning, but there's an irony to "calling out" bad media feminists when you yourself clearly don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Feminism itself can be considered as being under the umbrella of a broader ideology for equality, justice, and social equity. Humanism. There's nothing wrong with that either. In a lot of ways, it's helpful. Nothong wrong with Feminism rocusing on women's issues as the movement is majority women. Why should men get equal time for their issues when they're unwilling to participatein the movement in equal amounts? Why do men feel they've earned the right to demand the trust that they'll step up without railroading like they tend to do everything else? There are already countless examples of male feminists co-opting feminism for their own end and to glorify themselves as men. One man had the nerve to crown himself King of Feminism. I shit you not. By the way, he was a die hard gender essentialist too. No one is surprised.

Still most feminists agree with many of the points men make, at least ideologically and theoretically. The lack of involvement comes down to two things.

First, the only time we tend to hear men making these observations is as a rebuttal or a whataboutism to a feminist argument. If men care so much about the challenges men face, then where the hell are they? Why aren't they campaigning? Bringing awareness? Why is it the ONLY time these ussues pop up is as a means to talk over women discussing their problems? When you push them on it, they disappear. Last guy who commented similar to something of mine, I offered to show up and protest with him. Tell me when and where. Crickets. This guy wasn't serious. Most aren't. That's the hard truth. They only care about these iasues as a means to bring women down, it seems, because bothing in the world is preventing all these keyboard trolls from getting off their butts and getting to work. Just like women have had to do for every advance we have made. We had to fight for it. Seems like men are more interested in labor dumping than bettering their own lives.

The second thing is priorities. In a disaster, you have to triage. In a triage, you address the most immediately threatening to life problem first. Same principle. I'll give you an example. Men often bring up the unfairness of the draft. I agree, ideologically. I'm not overly fussed to the point of throwing hissy fits about it because it's not a current issue. The draft hasnt been used in what, 50 years? Not since 'Nam. No man has been drafted into war in my country since I was two. I have no memory of men being sent off to war. I have okenty of memories of women being brutally raped, murdered, and abused. Some days I'm sureounded by the abuse of women.

So you tell me. Given those facts. As a feminist, why the hell sgould I exhaust my limited time and resources advocating on behalf of men who can't be fussed to get up off the couch and advocate for themselves in the first place over a issue that only currently exists as a possible potentiality when graves are dug every day for women murdered by men, even with the majority of shelters being for women there still aren't anywhere near enough, and the Christofascists alingaide their political puppets have declared open season on women for rapists? Why, beyond men's aggrieved feelings, should the draft issue be given a priority? What is your reasoning? How do you justify that? Please, enlighten us. We're all ears.
