So push back on the idea without attacking, dehumanizing, attempting to silence or censor, or threatening the person.
She had some notoriety. But she's a writer. It's not a given that she has that kind of political clout any more than a star athlete does. Ultimately we're all voting adults and it's our responsibility as citizens to weigh out the arguments and vote our conscience, not a celebrity's.
Also, I'd argue that Transactivists collectively have just as big a platform also have celebrity status, and political clout.
So I find the argument that she's swaying opinions to be a weak one.
