I get what you're saying about your brother. I'm just saying different people's emotional landscapes are different and you can't expect everyone to feel the same way about whether or not something is hurtful and how much. I think you understand this. For example I might be able to laugh off being called "stubby" quite easily. It might hit you a lot harder because it means something different to you than it would to me because to attack a man's penis size is to attack his masculinity the same as attacking a woman's hair is to attack her femininity.

We don't have to agree. This isn't earth shattering news. Just the daily news distraction that people want to feel outraged over. You've stated your opinion and laid out why you feel that way.
