*sigh*
I wasn't saying 51% of women were MAGA, I get that the reference was to the population at large. The way it states in the sentence though, made the implication that since 51% of the populstion is women, then the vote is "automatically" won because women won't vote against reproductive rights.
My point is, that women, particularly older white women are active in MAGA and an integral part of the Pro-Life movement and so therefore you cannot count on that extra 2% of the population being women to guarantee these rights.
Statistically, the older you are, the more likely to be religious you are. It's clear religion particularly Fundie sects are driving the stripping of women's rights. Statistics back this up too, as does some decent reporting. Its observational that you mostly see older women being the voice of Pro-Life and at their protests, probably because you get women usually have to work.
Naturally, it does not follow that ALL boomer women are MAGA or are even able to attend protests or are not part of the active opposition, pri-choice movement. That goes without saying. Again, it's easy enough to look at video of the protests and see who shows up. Plenty of older women showing up for their daughters and granddaughters. Plenty of men at those too.
Which ultimately was my point. Men did not do this to us. Religious nutters of all genders did.
