She's right. You pushing a propaganda lie.

Was your friend and her partner using birth control? Then that unwanted pregnancy was caused by a failure of birth control, not because abortion was being used as birth control. We don't say people were driving irresponsibly if they're injured in a car accident and they were wearing a seat belt but the air bag failed to deploy. They've done everything reasonable to prevent injury. It's the same thing.

Was your friend not allowed birth control because of being underage and/or religious conservative parents? Then your problem is access to birth control is being denied. It doesn't matter how educated you are in reproductive health when you can't get to it.

Here in the states it’s been illegal to abort in the third trimester for 50 years except in cases of fetal mortality (the baby has died in the mother but not expelled from her body naturally or completely) or danger to the mother.

It’s been very similar in the UK, but I don’t know for how long.

There is no push to abort babies. Abortion providers aren’t lined up like salespersons at a car lot. It’s just a optional service that is offered safely because abortions are going to happen whether they are legal or not. They always have. You just know more about it when they’re offered out in the open for safety.
