She's referring to a specific individual or a small group of expats.

That said, she's not entirely wrong either.

Put it this way, it's not like there aren't pu-lenty of women who think the same. There are. You're just not as likely to hear about it the way she was exposed to it for a few reasons.

1. They're less likely to expatriate.
2. They're less likely to complain out loud about buiness.
3. They're not as vocal in general about such things because it's just less socially acceptable for women.
4. Broad strokes, American men have a real problem in later years with cognitive dissonance that they are blisteringly unaware of. It smacks everyone else in the face on the regular, but they are just completely unaware and cannot be brought to reason or sense.
