She's got a valid point, actually, despite the acerbic sarcasm.
Why is it only now that men are getting doses of what they've been dishing out they've suddenly become concerned about humane treatment of others?
What do you think caused men to peck at and harass women? To treat them like objects or property to the point of legally making them exactly that instead of human beings? To murder them and any other 'other' whenever the mood strikes or they have a bad day, or feel like they're not getting their economic due?
What guarantee or even reasoning do you have to suggest that men won't go right back to mistreating women the minute the pressure of forcing you to examine the damage that is continuing to be done?
Why should you be given any kind of trust just because you feel bad that some girl was smart enough to not leave an open drink with someone she just met.
We all feel bad. Welcome to the club.
