She is a victim of DV. That's not untrue.

She's just also an abuser. Whether or not her violence toward him was strictly in defence or response to his abuse remains to be seen. That's what the UK court determined.

But we'll see if a) new evidence and testimony says different or if b) the US court makes a different judgement.
