She did. It really highlighted, for me as a mom who was once a teenage girl too, how the juxtaposition of teenage girls being assigned the role of sexual temptresses and a lack of a sexually positive education growing up really throws us to the wolves.
We teach girls to believe that sex is their only source of power, that it makes them dirty or less valuable (virginity culture), that their very existence is too much for men to handle and control themselves, etc.
We don't teach them how to say no, how to evaluate intent, how to take the lead mindfully and appropriately, how to be safe, etc.
