Same. My kid could figure out fairly advanced math problems before she learned math facts (she used a calculator). She calculated how many minutes were in a year while I made dinner one night. She was 4.

I'm a single mom soni had to send her to school, which was awful. By 2nd grade, she was stymied by the easiest math and swore it was too hard.

You're right, it all changed once I got us set up to homeschool. No homework, no assignments, no bs. If I had it to do over again, she never would have set foot in a school.

She's better socialized having been educated out of school as well. You're right. Kids who go to school can only socialize with their own age group, they can't relate to anyone else. Most hold age in absolute contempt. But you've got to get them in groups to socialize.
