Remember when we all used to navigate perfectly fine by reading maps and road signs?
Even if you got a little lost it wasn’t that hard a problem to fix because you could always tell what direction you were heading by looking at the sun and you knew you were somewhere within a “box” on your map based on perimeter roadways.
Finding yourself lost on a goat path was truly rare because you knew fairly early on that something was amiss, so you just turned around and retraced your steps. As it turns out, the road is bidirectional. Who knew?
If all else failed, or time did not allow, you could just stop and ask some nice gas/ convenience store clerk or a passerby for directions?
Who knew those were perishable skill sets?
