Really? Thats not retribution. Its survival. Trump being elected again was not the cause, it was the proverbial straw that brone the camel's back.

Everyone has their threshhold of tolerance. Some point at which they are no longer willing to go along to get along, to gloss over some virulent behavior and attitudes for the greater good of the family or the marriage, relationship.

For a lot of people, Trump being elected again and all the election threats against the marginalized and the vitriol of MAGA was crossing that threshold of tolerance. It was just a road too far. Self preservation kicks in over the good of whatever group.

At some point, it has to for all of us. Trump and thr MAGAts made it clear they want some people dead. If you chose that leadership, you chose that desire of death and disenfranchisement and misery to come to fruition. You chose against somone you profess to care about.

Ita not retribution for them to now want to escape you, to get as far away from you as they can. It's self preservation.

Your failure to take accountability for what you chose and what you did does not change that calculus for them.
