Plus I deal with an industry where there are legal implications. Huge fines for mishandling data. Training puts the fear of Jesus in the newbies. They're literally terrified of making a mistake and going bankrupt because of legal action taken against them.

That doesn't help. So, it's excessive hand holding for about a month for that to die down.

Then there's problems with the training itself.

And then there's the fact that so many states want to just be fucking difficult for no damn reason whatsoever other than just cause.

I wasn't kidding when I said perfectly normal and reasonable people came out of training unable to tell time. It's beyond the pale.

Urchling thinks it's hilarious. It makes me wonder how easy it would be to convince perfectly normal and rational people that the sky is not blue. I think it could be done in 2 weeks.
