Please work on your reading comprehension skills before embarrassing yourself in the future.
I clearly said, this does not apply to all men. And that there were PLENTY of young men out there working their asses off building their own opportunities, college or not, and working for a future for themselves.
That's true of MOST young men. If you need to have a percentage or whatever to feel better about yourself, maybe as many as 15% fall into the loser/scrub category I described. No group is a monolith. Calling out a recognizable behavior within a small sunset if a larger group does not make the whole group bad. That's like saying that because Chihuahuas are bug eyed then all dogs are big eyed. It's just stupid.
While you're working on your reading comprehension, pick up some material on critical thinking and logic. You desperately need it.
Since you're about to lose your pearls, I'll do you one better. Guess what? An equivalent percentage of young women from high school pranced around thinking they were entitled too, coasting on their looks and popularity. They never developed their minds or thought about tomorrow, because they were owed, right? We all knew who they were. No they're all washed up has beens, sour, poor, still going through men like ATM machines, whining about how they can't go party cause their deadbeat ex left them with kids, how the courts are unfair, bitching that their parents won't support them and all ANY man wants is one thing.
The issue here is not men. Nor is it women. The issue is the laziness of entitlement that some people who lauded and revered all through high school for no worthwhile virtue in their possession who never outgrew being a big fish in a very little pond who thought that was the whole world.
Every high school has them. Male and female.
They hit middle age with nothing but faux grievance and constant whining and complaining. About anything and everything.
My comment only referenced men because the origin of all this came from a catastophizing opinion piece (by Scott Galloway?) that was laced with misogynist thinking. Had it landed another way, believe you me I would have been commenting that any young woman who thinks that being prom queen or homecoming queen should be enough to get her into college was too lazy and entitled to earn it. That spot should go to the students who buckled down and studied instead of doing make overs, practicing their cat walk, and going shopping every day.
Because those who work for it (male or female) deserve it (male or female).
