Please don’t put words in my mouth. There’s a huge difference between “you were mean to me so I’m gonna cancel your movement!” and “if you respond to hate with a form of your own hate you may lose support from the ones of that identity group who agree with you and have supported you.”

No one person can tell a black person when BLM movement ends. That’s up to them and I did not say or suggest otherwise. Only that no marginalized group will achieve their goals or be able to hold onto gains by embracing the same hateful behaviors that have been used to perpetuate their marginalization against another marginalized group.

Being victimized by racism does not excuse one from misogyny.

Being victimized by misogyny does not excuse one from being racist.

I fail to see how that is gaslighting by any stretch of the imagination. Didn’t your parents ever tell you 'two wrongs don’t make a right’?

It’s not a choice between one or the other. I condemn all forms of hate. I embrace the precepts of equal justice and standing under the law and equal access to opportunity for all citizens of the US regardless of who they are, where they were born, how they love, and if/how/where they worship.
