Personally, I tend to think these “fights” happen once a tolerance threshold is reached. Maybe you both reached your threshold level of being able to deal reasonably with aggression or perceived aggression.
Too much noise on the internet and our daily lives. Too much information. It’s like we’re all toddlers again, easily overwhelmed, exhausted by it, and having a hard time dealing with it. Like a toddler, we get to a point where we explode over nothing because we just can’t take it anymore.
Has to do with our wiring. It’s the dark side of an otherwise good thing when there’s too much of it. Selection algorithms play into that neural dynamic of the human brain in an insidious way.
We all know this by now, more or less, but we haven’t quite figured out how to deal with it.
Nothing to do but take a break or a nap, and refresh/reset that pattern recognition dynamic.
