Perpetual growth is not, nor has it ever been, nor will it ever be sustainable.
It doesn't matter what economies depend upon when they are foolish enough to organize themselves around a model of perpetual growth.
Ergo, what economies need, depend upon, or want should never be a consideration for whether or not to have children. Or their advocates; you need not consider their arguments, pleas, or admonishments. They're trying to convince you to build a house and fill it to the brim upon the shifting sands of an eroding coastline. Plain and simple.
