People assume that the only reason to follow someone is because you like them and you agree with them. This is reductive and stupid.

Maybe you’re trying to understand their philosophy/position. Maybe you like their work but you can’t stand them as a person. Maybe you’re tracking something that has nothing to do with them as an individual but they’re associated with what you’re tracking. Maybe you think they’re dangerous and want to keep an eye on them. Maybe they’re an opposition voice you respect despite disagreeing with them. Maybe you’re related. Maybe you admire and want to study their work on a professional level even if you hate everything they stand for. I can see that with Pratt because he’s an actor. He could be studying for a role he hopes to get. Maybe you agree with them socially but not politically. Maybe you agree with them politically but not socially.

The point here is that you can’t honestly tell anything about someone by who they follow. Not without making some wildly problematic assumptions.

Another one? You’re assuming that’s his only account. That he doesn’t have any anonymous ones. Without seeing his whole life up close and personal you can’t say you have any kind of real picture of what he’s about.
