Patriarchy is an artificial construct in the same way that money is. It's an abstract made real by choice and force of law.

It's sociological, not biological, therefore it's not tiee to evolutionary advantage, but to sociological advantage.

It's also not been around long enough to be set in, evolutionarily speaking. Arguably. It's only been around for 5K years. We were something else, more egalitarian, for a lot longer before that.

And yes, for a time, Patriarchy was advantageous enough to be chosen and put into law. It's downsides and excesses were kept in check for the most part, with obviously detrimental and very harmful (shall we call them) bobbles along the way.

So, when we were nomads, more egalitsrian social structures were the clear winner. When we were agrarian/pastoral, more patriarchal social structures clearly won out. They were periodically problematic looking down the thread of time, but not so much that people revolted against them and chose something else.

But we're two modes of living past pastoralism now and it's no longer the most beneficial social structure. Clearly. The excesses are out of hand, people are becoming increasingly unable to thrive, society is rife with resentment and animosity, people are revolting.

That's not going to change.

Why? Because Industrialization and Patriarchy were a bad mix. Technogical society and Patriarchy are even worse.

It's time to go back to being more like what we were before Patriarchy or try something new.

And yes. Sometimes I do like to argue. That's not a bad thing. You clearly do as well, because it does take two to engage. 😉
