Patriarchy has been around for 13,000 years. White skin was not prevalent in Europe until around 8K years ago. “White" as a culture or how people began to think of themselves did not exist prior to the 17th century.

Nor did they invent slavery. Thousands of years ago, they were slaves themselves.

Ergo, you cannot blame white people for patriarchy. It existed before they did.

You can fault them for how they adapted slavery and other abstracts like religion to patriarchy based on race and gender. And really, isn’t that enough?

If you want white people to set aside ideas around whiteness, race, and white nationalism they need somewhere else, some other ideology, to go to. Believing it has always been thus, that there has never been an alternative to Patriarchy, slavery, and dehumanizing each other before they do it to you means you never have a tangible target to shoot for.

You have to believe its possible and that it will be better. Knowing that we existed another way before and it was better overall is leverage. Don’t throw that leverage away.
