Parties. Clubs. Parks. Community Events. Community businesses that provide entertainment, like skating rinks, putt putt golf courses, arcades (back in the day), Comic Con, amusement parks, etc., fairs and festivals, church, nature walks, boardwalks (it you have one), flea markets or other local markets ,(Kirkland WA has Wednesday Market), they'll be a place where local musicians hang out and play or sometimes busk — there's always a crowd, bars, dance clubs, bowling alleys, rodeos, state fairs, county fairs, auctions, museums, art galleries, art festivals, harvest festivals (there's a Poke Salat festival in Alabama every year), Symphony in the park (West Palm Beach has a string quartet play music downtown once a month—you bring a blanket to sit on and a basket of snacks; my dog used to love it), fitness trails, Craft classes, car shows, motorcycle shoes, dog parks, skate parks, wine tastings, local brewery tours, Haunted Houses, Pumpkins patch mazes, berry farms, etc.

I could go on. Get on the net, find a local magazine or newspaper and see what people are doing. There's always so e thing going on. Always. If you don't see something that strikes your fancy then start your own club or social group. Or volunteer. Let me know if you need that list. It's long too.

You guys need to drop the learned helplessness and woe is me attitudes. How do you expect anyone in your community to ever even notice you when you won't give your community the time of day?

Get out there. Stop whining. Get out there and meet people. Learn to be social before you start hitting on every pair if boobs that walks by. See the people.
