Or vaporized in a nuclear attack. Nobody is happy about this situation. Nobody. Americans don't want to be responsible for policing the world. We've got our own problems that aren't being fixed. If we don't intervene, there's an atrocity and the criticism is "Americans only care about black and brown lives unless there's oil. Look at what they let happen to us." If we do, it's "America is evil".

America isn't perfect. There's been a lot of error. We should be more prudent about getting involved in the world. That said, the old world will not let all their petty grievances and animosities from 1000 years ago go. Why are you all so intolerant that your first go to in conflict is to grab a machete and march through the streets hacking people you disagree with to pieces?
