On that last paragraph, I guess a TL;DR, more succinct train of thought would be:

Women can't fix men's depression issues while we're depressed ourselves from 'spiritual/soul' exhaustion (not in a religious sense). That would be like the blind leading the blind.

Better idea would be to focus on self, and when enough of whichever group fixes their depression, THEN they can help the other out.

Like on an airplane. You put your own oxygen mask on first, then you help everyone you can.
