Okay. Two things. Women on Medium are not representative of all women any more than men on Medium are representative of all men.
Secondly, if you're talking about mocking comments, you have to keep in mind that comments can be directed at either a particular sentence or paragraph, a particular article, or a particular issue. In other words, just because a woman mocks some trash statement that isbeither clearly ridiculous or clearly made in bad faith does not equate that she thinks the issue as a while is bogus or has no compassion for men who are struggling. That's conflation.
Look at it like this, as an example. Say I write an article talking about male suicide rates and in that article I make the ridiculous statement that men are afraid of spiders and they are shooting themselves in the head to ens their nightmares about spiders.
Obviously, somebody is going to pop into the comments and say, "that is quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard". For our example, let's say that person is a woman in this case.
Now. We can arfue about whether or not that is actually THE stupidest thing she's ever heard but we can't argue that it's not stupid.
We also can't in good faith conflate her calling out a stupid statement as a lack of compassion for men who shoot themselves in the head.
It's too far, contextually, to make that jump. There's no basis.
The point here, is before you make the claim that women on Medium have no compassion, make sure you 1. are properly identifying what they are mocking and 2. correctly discerning whether or not that mockery is out of place. What's the claim or argument being made? Does it hold water?
I think you'll find, for the most part, that will resolve the issue for you.
That said, are there bad actors on Medium who are women?
Of course. Medium is part of the internet and the internet is kinda "wild west". There is nothing preventing women from being dishonest, untrustworthy, pushing a specific agenda, or hurtful toward men any more than there is for men toward women. Lotta times people just suck.
The worst part is, most of the time that suckage is NOT coming from a place of being willfully malicious. It's coming from belief systems, ideologies, bad experiences, fear, and frustration that blinds them to others. That's one thing men and women will always have in common.
