But definitely NOT because she fears a sudden "accident" with the stove setting her on fire once she's at home alone with said violent man. We all know what clumsy and bumbling accidents waiting to happen women are, after all.

Okay, so even though sticking your neck out in the moment is maybe not the best idea.

One thing you maybe could do though, is stop perpetuating the abject lunacy that women secretly like being abused rather than fear it getting worse when no one is around.
