Yes, I'm in a state with a trigger law, though my state is not as severe as some of my family's state trigger laws.

I've always cared about women across the world too. I sign petitions and send letters on behalf of women unjustly imprisoned either for abortion or miscarriage. This is one of 5 issues that I donate to when I can.

You're fooling yourself when you say it's a different point of view. Roe is a good regulation. Most pro-choice people want safe REGULATED abortions. This narrative that most women are getting abortion as a means of birth control is as much a Big Lie as election fraud is. It's simply not true. Women who abort do so because something went tragically wrong, they can't afford another child, they had a birth control failure, they lacked access to birth control, they're too young and had a "funny uncle", they were raped, they're in a state of mental or financial crisis, etc.

These bans will not stop abortions. Abortions have always existed and always will. What it will do is punish and kill women who wanted their babies and had something go wrong, more than anyone else. It will leave young children, the older siblings of the fetus, without a mother.

There are already women in Texas facing death because of these bans. Two that I know of. One was diagnosed with cervical cancer at a obstetrics visit after a planned pregnancy. By the time they found the cancer she'd past their heartbeat bill. Now both may die, I'm guessing she can't get chemo or radiation while she's pregnant. She's now a high risk pregnancy. The other, also a planned pregnancy and much desired baby is not likely to come.to term and the mother has developed a condition that is causing blood clots in her brain. She's losing her eyesight and one of those clots could cause her to stroke and them both. The baby most likely to die in utero, which means she will likely face sepsis as well if she doesn't spontaneously abort naturally.

Conservatives are stupid here. You can't legislate morality. Women who don't want to be pregnant will find a way to not be pregnant. Republican efforts to control women's reproductive rights and choices will mostly hurt women who actually want to be mothers most. It's telling that it's liberal women and men who get that and give a fuck. Conservative men have shown and continue to show how little.theynregard the women in their lives.

Again, dating-wise, you do you. It is conservatives lying about their political affiliation. It still comes down to why any sane woman would want to attach herself to someone who doesn't care about her. Prancing around and thumping your chests about how you think it's great that women are 2nd class citizen brood mares is not the hot sell or flex you think it is. Otherwise, why do conservatives have to lie to get a date? Or try to whataboutism/strawman "politics shouldn't matter".
