Of course, all testimony should be scrutinized rather than just blindly believed. I wasn't suggesting otherwise.

That said, there was verification that she drove him there unarmed, not armed. He got the gun from a friend who bought it for him once he met up with him in Wisconsin. She drove him there with medical supplies believing he was volunteering as a medic. Apparently, it came out in trial that he did have some training but was not a licensed EMT. To be fair, I have not verified that last bit, I read it off another essay here on Medium.

Regardless, it seems this push to blame the mother has no grounds. The boy lied to her.

As for the rest of your comment, I tend to agree. Hes been keeping company with troubling people and immoral ideology.
