Not without subjugating them to do so. Give a woman to a man and then the man will protect her from other men. That'll be the thinking. There's a push from conservatives to return to laws of coverture.

The only other way is for men to rededine their manhood outside of hating women. Right now manhood=NotFeminine. To achieve that they have to destroy everything labeled "feminine" within themselves. You have to other it and despise it in order to do that. That's where this animosity comes from.

But men do not want to do that. They can't even imagine it. And so, they fancy themselves superior, "other" women, hurt us, shame us, despise us, rape us and murder us just for existing.

Whether we've been given to them to be protected or not.
