Not the same. These guys were full blown sociopaths or psychopaths. Not just a guy who defined everything labeled masculine as good and everything labeled feminine as bad. Then strives to eliminate all "feminine" characteristics from his emotional lexicon to the point of being a reduced, unpleasant human to be around and causing harm to female person's, or bon gender confirming person's. To place that crazy, insane, idea of masculinity above everything else, even when doing so is clearly harming him as much or more; and willfully blinding and deafening himself to calls for change. Because he can't stand the idea of becoming feminine. Even though most of the things he now detests as feminine has little to nothing to do with female reproductive biology. It's a flawed concept from the start. It's not the same as being a sociopath or a psychopath though, because those people are incapable of empathy. Those embracing toxic masculinity (both male and female person's) aren't incapable of empathy, they choose against it because they get something out of it. Just like any other addict.
