Not sure where you got this from my comment as my comment was geared toward white people who have been marching as allies — you know, what the original article was about. ???

I’m aware of a lot of what BLM has done though, to be fair, not all the things you mentioned. I’ve never nor would I ever criticize black athletes or entertainers on how they spend their money or contribute to their communities.

My comment, again, was about white allies putting their resources where their mouths are in regards to supporting equality and ending police violence. People marched because they believe that what is happening is wrong and can no longer be tolerated. That said, there’s a practical side to protest marches too. People can’t march forever, they have jobs and families that need their attention. That doesn’t mean you stop being an ally. You donate to one of the many BLM organizations, attend city council meetings to keep the issue alive and moving forward, write, use your influence wherever you have it….

Not continuing to march when you can’t keep it up does not make white people fair weather friends. Not following through does. Hence, the comment about putting their white resources where their mouths are. Black people shouldn’t have to shoulder that burden alone either.
