Not society. Generally speaking, society still views men positively overall.
But for sure, as the oppressed and controlled gender, women don't automatically have warm fuzzies for "men" as a class. We do love men as individuals.
It's odd to me that so many men are losing their shit over having to start from a place of neutrality and earn trust and regard when dating.
It shows how many men rely on an unearned and often false reputation in order to date or have confidence, or try at life. These men have issues.
Lastly, yes it's liberating, extremely liberating, to ditch the societal narrative about one's worth. We women are experiencing this and reclaiming important lost parts of ourselves in ditching the narrative that our purpose in life is to be civilization's brood mares; that we have no other relevant value.
I hope men find the lost parts of themselves too, as they reject the social narratives that have kept them in a mental and emotional prison too.
