Not really, not necessarily. Lot of ittle girls don't take to pink, wearing dresses, or playing with dolls.
Personality wise, lots of times you just click with one parent more than the other. That's who you want to spend .kst of your time with and do things with. You'll become their tag-a-long. You'll emulate them even if they are opposite gendered from you, particularly if your same sex parent is badgering about gender perfoemance in a particular way you really don't like. For example, insisting the dress be pink or more "feminine" shades like pastels instead of negotiating for blues or greens or not nixing bold colors. Forcing the girl into Shirley Temple curls instead of letting her cut her hair or have straight hair would be another example. Femininity is forced on a lot of girls, and many rebel. That doesn't equal gender confusion. It's a proper recognition of a straightjacket you DON'T want to wear and the only resistance you can muster in your position.
