Not really. This very much describes the lives of most women as we come to know, soon enough, in our teenage years. We spend the rest of our lives bracing ourselves and trying to protect ourselves from it.

This is the demonization of women and the stripping of our rightful identities as women from objectification.

No one is horrified. This is life. This is what the patriarchs burdened us with to enrich themselves.
