I agree with your essay; however, it’s not just boys. It’s little girls too.
I didn’t send my daughter to preschool and was informed at the start of kindergarten that she was not ready for school and would be behind. All because she didn’t have her personal information memorized by rote and didn’t know school routine. Then it was that she was too unruly. Then…then…then.
Ultimately what it all boiled down to was that my daughter was not raised in an authoritarian household. This was her first experience with authoritarian leadership. Her teacher took her asking questions as a personal affront, a challenge to her authority.
Schools have gone crazy. They’re training to tests, not teaching children to be educated.
