Nope. I think that's where we are in many developed societies.

After being devalued and underappreciated for decades after industrialization disenfranchised the vlue of women's work and the increasing contempt men and society held women in after that....

And every opportunity to change things having been rejected ...

I think a lot of women are quitting society or giving up on it. They may not be thinking of it in thise terms precisely, but I think it's clear there's no pride or advantage for most in marriage or motherhood any more.

Not ynder the terms and conditions society gives.

So you either make choices outside mainstream societal approval, or you let that dream and desire go. You just live your life.

I made the former choice, but I'm not a young woman. My daughter is facing the same decisions now, as she's grown into a young woman of 19. Zero desire to marry or have children so far.
