None of these things have to do with intelligence. I’m unsure of any value to most of them overall either (as they’ve been presented). It’s more about appearing buttoned up and together rather than being buttoned up and together. Ultimately, that’s a trap like 'keeping up with the Joneses’. You end up wasting time and energy on appearances rather than things that really matter. And, life isn’t an Instagram snapshot — ”living the dream”, “being my best self” sorts of BS that’s constantly being peddled.

Ultimately, you’re actually going to lose opportunities in life by all that constant fronting. And that’s not very smart at all.
