No. We can't afford their stupidity. Not anymore. They'll drown us with them. Red states are already taking disproportionate resources to cover up and mitigate the natural outcomes of their ridiculous policies. Blue states are already suffering.

That money California puts into the federal coffers could have been spent dealing with their homeless problem or clearing undergrowth to reduce forest fires, or building desalination plants off the coast to mitigate water shortages.

It's the same with every in other blue state. Every penny that goes toward propping up draconian policies foisted on populations by religious extremists and simpletons is a penny that isn't being spent shoring up infrastructure and preparing for climate change.

If they want these issues returned to the states then the states need to face the consequences of their legislation without demanding or expecting a handout from states that are actually trying to preserve human life and dignity.

Maybe if they want to burn, we should let them burn.
