No. The ERA has not been added to the books based on the bias of one man. He’s not being pressured to do his damn job. Women’s rights are rarely a priority.

The Constitution does not even mention women. It contains no specific protections for women.

As we have seen with the overturning of Roe v Wade, women no longer have the same rights to bodily autonomy that men have.

The overturn relegated is to 2nd class citizen status again.

We didn’t gain rights overnight. The effects of 2nd class citizenship won’t happen overnight either.

But make no mistake, without the specific protections for women the ERA affords, there’s very little to prevent more laws being passed that will disenfranchise women and other protected groups.
