No. Most white voters are older voters. Old voters skew toward the right regardless of race over fears of socialism and to protect their income if their income is tied in to the stock market. Republicans have a laser focus on the stock market as the most important factor in evaluating the strength of the economy. And they successfully convince older voters that younger people can’t get jobs because they’re lazy.

I was surprised to hear/read how many older Trump voters did not know about or realize that Trump’s suspension of payroll tax during the pandemic would decimate their Social Security.

So clearly, they pounded that drum quite effectively.
