I took the hyperbole as a form of teasing and I was playfully teasing back. Or trying to, anyway. Guess I missed the mark ...... somehow?

I actually thought the hyperbole was directed at Google, not me. After all, the directions were so specific it was obvious I'd looked them up. So my reply was a "if you think Google is a hottie, wait till you see what comes next" type of thing. Like two friends evaluating a technology beauty contest.
